The following rules represent the standard ruleset for Tournaments being held by Royal Arts fencing academy. This includes: Ascalon, Blue Box, Looking Sharpe, and Hemmageddon
This ruleset is designed to encourage a particular style of Messer fighting. Specifically, this ruleset attempts to distinguish messer fights from saber and to encourage techniques seen in the manuals, such as close fighting techniques.
